To whom it may concern, I am writing this e-mail to tell you of an experience I had at your Ace Hardware store located at 16725 S. Oak Park in Tinley Park, IL. My name is Mike and I am President of Windy City Veterans Assoc. of Chicago, our organization buys materials to assist our fellow veterans that are living in The Veterans Home in Manteno, IL. We have a fundraiser every year to purchase these materials and in todays economy we need to stretch every dollar. I happened to stop in the above Ace Hardware store to make a purchase for myself, when I noticed that the prices of materials I was shopping for at other locations were much more reasonable at my local Ace. I asked to speak to the store manager as to possibly make a bulk purchase and I was met by Bill Steinhauser. Mr. Steinhauser not only told me he could get me all the items I needed, but gave me an even better price once he found out all the items were going to help Veterans. I was so impressed with the service and prices that I decided to purchase all the items on the Veterans wish list from Ace Hardware. When Mr. Steinhauser was not available another manager, aware of my mission, Jan Reder, picked up right where Bill left off by helping me get more items at the great bargain prices, she went over the wish list with me and told me what the store had and what she could get for me and helped me through out. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the cashier manger, Eliq Neurohr, who had to deal with all my purchases and the hassle of tax exemptions. I can’t thank Ace Hardware enough for all the help and all mentioned above for going out of their way to help me. The Director at the Manteno Veterans Home was very impressed by all the items purchased by Windy City Veterans for their residents, and I could not have done it without the great people at the Tinley Park Ace. Thank you for your time and great employees.
